All Phases of Commissioning
We perform all phases of Commissioning, from Pre Design Phase through the project Post-Acceptance Phase. Commissioning has been reported to save as much as 30% of your energy bill, by insuring systems operate in an efficient manor. Some other benefits of Commissioning are:
- fewer project delays
- managed start-up requirements
- shorter building turnover
- less post-occupancy corrective work
- minimized effects from design changes
- improved indoor air quality & occupant productivity
- better operation, maintenance & reliability of equipment and systems
- lower operation costs
- complete and useful O&M documentation
Building Tune Up
Commissioning, Balancing, & Energy Analysis can provide the owner with a complete document of the building performance. We can put your building in peak performance & operation to make it a “High Performance Building”, where your building’s occupants will be at maximum productivity and proud to work in a green, efficient and “High Performance” environment.
Verify your burner is efficient with a combustion test.
Continued Commissioning (recommissioning) will keep your building in peak performance, especially in buildings where various changes are made by multiple people and shifts. Re-commissioning can diagnose the cause of ongoing, unresolved problems or can be used as part of a planned preventative maintenance program that can prevent your building from falling out of its “High Performance” rating.
Verify 10% to 100% of the control point to point check out and verify calibration of setpoints. Review control sequence for design and actual operation.
Cooling Tower Testing
Maintain your Cooling Tower’s performance and efficiency with a Cooling Tower Test.
Functional Performance Testing
We can perform functional performance testing on various HVAC equipment and DDC control systems to verify performance and operation. Through detailed testing, we can demonstrate the correct operation under all modes of operation.
HVAC System Survey
Design Engineers: Need information on that existing system before you design your retrofit/ renovation? We can provide you with the documentation of existing system performance to protect you from guess work.
Building Owners: Whether you have hot and cold spots, or just suspect there are issues in your system and you need information to make a good decision as to what to do, then a system survey performed by an experienced independent professional is what you need. We will provide you with the data you need to make your decision. We will submit to you a full report documenting accurate measurements of the required data.
Indoor Air Quality Testing
Know that your indoor air quality is safe and healthy. Provide your employees and your clients with a healthy and productive atmosphere. Don’t be caught with a sick building.
Optimize Building Performance
The commissioning process is designed to provide the most comperhensive data on building performance. With this information, together, we can make educated decisions that will allow your building to perform at peak efficiency while giving you maximum performance when you need it.
Pre Construction Plan Review
As your representative, we can verify the cfm’s of the outlets add up to the total air design of the fans and the return and outside air quantities are correct. We can verify proper sizing of vav boxes and approximate system static. We can make sure you have the dampers and valves in your design that will achieve a balanced system. We can review control sequences so the owner’s system operation intent is achieved.
Retro Commissioning of Existing Buildings
Retro-Commissioning in existing buildings that have never been commissioned is necessary to bring your building up to date with today’s standards and to assure efficient operation. Retro-Commissioning is essential to having a comprehensive maintenance program or to commission post-occupancy facility modifications.
Smoke Evac and Life Safety Testing
Verify smoke and fire dampers are operating and can operate when needed.
Verify Ventilation Rates
ASHRAE is calling for verification of proper ventilation rates in todays buildings. Make sure your building complies with the latest standards.« Return to Services
